Chopping board matters for discussion

Rec: Capirotada (New Mexican style bread pudding)
  Today is the anniversary of NM's admittance to the Union as a state. Since we are discussing bread pudding in another thread, here is a recipe with which to celebrate. And no, it doesn't contain any chile! Capirotada (from:'Historic Cookery') 1 cup sugar 2 cups water 6 slices toasted bread 1 tsp ground cinnamon... more »

Holy sodium content, Batman!
  Just got back from the store, where I looked at the Bear Creek soup mixes for sodium content. A one cup serving provides up to 41% of the "daily requirement". Dinner Tonight
  My SO is crook at the moment. Last night she wanted curry, so I did a Chicken Korma with coconut rice. Tonight she wants Spag Bol. She's got the next 2 days off, so there'll be plenty of garlic and red wine in the Bol :-) Might even do some toasted Turkish Garlic bread.

Veal Racks
  I purchased a rack of veal chops that weighs about 7 lbs. I've tried to search for a recipe, but no avail. Any recommendations? I assume it has to be baked, but should I marinate it? Or serve it up with a sauce? Should I cover it to prevent it from drying. TIA, MaimoPal

PING::Dave
  Thanks for posting your mother's shortbread recipe. I made the dough for Christmas but it didn't manage to actually bake them. Baked them today, they're delicious. nancy
